Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority who are seeking a Housing Litigation and Employment Solicitor to join their tyeam on a contract basis. Please find below further details about the role and the person specification.

**ROLE**:Housing Litigation and Employment Lawyer
**LOCATION**: Surrey
**RATE**: £40.00 to £47.00 per hour
**CONTRACT**: Initial 3 months, likelihood of extension

**The Role**
- To manage a full caseload of matters in relation to Housing Litigation and Employment matters
- To provide advice and representation in connection with the Council's housing functions, including dealing with housing possession cases and homelessness appeals
- To provide competent representation for the Council at courts, tribunals and meetings as required
- To provide legal advice and representation in employment matters, including dealing with Employment Tribunals

**The Person**
- A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 2 years' PQE
- It is essential to have managed full caseload sin relation to Housing Litigation and Employment matters
- Previous experience of working within a local authority or public sector body would be highly desirable but not essential
