**Overview - Principal FPGA Engineer**

Due to continued growth my client, a leading RF manufacturer, are currently recruiting for an experienced FPGA Engineer to join their small but talented engineering department. Joining a thriving technology business, you will be responsible for the designand development of range of digital IF distribution products.

**Role Responsibilities - Principal FPGA Engineer**
- To design and develop a range of modules and equipment for digital IF
- Produce VHDL code for VITA-49 or similar network SDR transport protocols
- Scripting in TCL designs utilizing IP Cores
- Build scripting to support continuous integration
- Lead technical design and verification activities
- Conduct floor-planning and timing analysis of designs, achieving timing closure
- Assure clear and complete documentation in line with engineering policies and procedures

**Qualifications/Skills - Principal FPGA Engineer**
- Strong academic achievement in Electronic Engineering or related discipline
- Technical expertise in FPGA-based technology within communications/RF
- Experience of VHDL code for VITA-49 solid grounding in design and verification methodologies
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
- Ability to generate clear documentation and other artefacts
