You will be part of a team of 4 in the sales office as the key contact responsible for receiving orders and enquiries from existing and new business/trade customers and direct customers (the public).
The team are sociable and collaborative, and the work is busy and engaging with lots of customer rapport. The company retains staff, many of whom have had a chance to progress across other parts of the business, so if you are seeking job security and longer-termprospects this might appeal.
The business supply a huge catalogue of equipment. Product training and terminology will be provided, but if you have worked in industrial or engineering supplies in the past
- **As an experienced Sales Administrator, the work will be familiar to you;**_
- Liaising with the dispatch team both pre and post shipment to ensure they are capable of meeting the delivery requirements of the customer
- Placing purchase orders and working with suppliers to ensure delivery times are met
- Advising and suggesting products to meet customer needs
- Control re-ordering levels with regular customers and opening new accounts.
**As our ideal person for this vacancy you will**:
- Have the ability to interact and communicate with customers professionally at all times
- Have experience working within a sales office environment
- Knowledge of metal working or industrial gas industry is an advantage but not essential
- Have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Have the willingness to 'get stuck in' - this is a small team and help each other
- Have a valid UK driving license (you might get to use the company vehicle to do local errands)
- Working knowledge of Sage, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is preferable
