Delivery/collection Driver

Superbike Factory Ltd is the UK’s largest used motorcycle dealership and due to the continued success and growth of the business, we are now looking for a **Delivery/Collection Driver** to join our expanding team in the surrounding areas of **Colchester**. Joining us on a full time, permanent basis you will receive a competitive salary of **£25,000**, plus commission.

**Who are we?**

We are **SuperBike Factory**, Europe’s largest used motorbike retailer,based in Macclesfield, Cheshire. Our existing 100,000 sq. ft Cheshire master site, with more than 2,000 bikes, a visible workshop area and comprehensive accessories shop,SuperBike Factory are Europe’s largest motorbike retailer. With the addition of our impressive new second site in Donington, it firmly establishes us as the ‘go to’ location when looking to buy, sell, part-exchange, or finance a motorbike. Or simply a greatday out for Bike fans and their family.

We have 2 sites in the UK, Macclesfield and Donington, but we buy bikes from our customers all over the UK, which means we also need to collect and deliver the bikes. We have over 40 drivers Nartionwide and we are currently looking for drivers in Scotlandto join our team. Our Drivers have a basic salary but they are also able to earn more through perfomance and sales bonus'.

**Responsibilities as our Delivery/Collection Driver will include**:

- Visiting various locations across the UK
- Delivering bikes to customers who recently purchased from us
- Collecting bikes from customers who want to sell their motorcycle
- Carrying out a brief appraisal on the mechanical and cosmetic condition of the bikes to be collected
- Using your motorcycle knowledge and mechanical expertise, report and document any mechanical problems, cosmetic damage etc.
- Ensuring all the necessary paperwork is completed
- Arranging payment to the customer via our payments team
- Manoeuvring the bikes onto the ramp and into the van and securing safely into position
- Returning to the Macclesfield depot
- Occasional overnight stays may be required

- Have strong people skills with good negotiation and influencing skills
- Be confident in your own ability and driving/working on your own.

**Professional Skills & Qualifications**:

- Full Motorcycle Licence
- Full manual UK Driving Licence with no serious driving convictions
- Demonstrate your motorcycle knowledge and know the makes and models of a variety of motorcycles and their makeup
- Come from a mechanical background and be able to recognise oil leaks, head gasket failure, problematic engine noises, mechanical issues, crash damage etc.
- 2 years driving experience
- Experience of driving a long wheel-based van
- As a driver you are required to be flexible with the shift patterns
- Comfortable manoeuvring heavy bikes on and off ramps to the vans
