**Overview**

This is a very independent position. The cafe operates on most days with one cook responsible for making hot food such a breakfast rolls and various lunch items.

The position will be about 20 hours per week with opportunity to add more hours during holidays and busier periods.
- If wanted, there is opportunity to work in the front of cafe, serving customers coffee and cold food items.

**Responsibilities**
- Assisting with cooking hot food - such as breakfast rolls - and food prep.
- Support food preparation tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of the café during opening and closing hours.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service delivery.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or café environment is preferred. We will provide training to a dedicated individual.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and culinary skills is preferred.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced kitchen setting is crucial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential for success in this role.
