As a Navigator you will:
- Support the direct delivery of a trauma-informed GM wide RASSO support service to non-offending family and loved ones of victims/survivors who are engaged in the Criminal Justice System.
- Be a pro-active part of the Nightingale Project - a whole system response to supporting the ‘loved ones’ of victims/survivors - collaborating and working in partnership with Nightingale project members.
- Build ongoing relationships with ‘loved ones’ of a victim/survivor engaged in the ISVA service to avoid family isolation and systemic crisis.
- Facilitate the design, development and delivery of individually tailored care plans and pathways for the ‘loved ones’ engaged in the Nightingale service.
- Undertake individual risk and needs assessments for ‘loved ones’.
- Provide psycho-education on the needs and impact of sexual violence on victims/survivors.
- Provide an information point for ‘loved ones’ on the criminal justice system / process.
To be successful as a Navigator you will need to:
- Experience of coaching or mentoring.
- Understanding of issues relating to rape and sexual assault
- Previous experience of working within a highly confidential setting, adhering to data governance.
- Previous experience of working within the voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) sector.
- BACP, UKCP, BPS, HCPC (or PSA accredited equivalent) Registration.
- A relevant qualification in or related to counselling, psychotherapy, EMDR or CBT
