**Trainee/Apprentice Estimator**

Old Plean Roofing Ltd are seeking a Trainee/Apprentice Estimator to join their Estimating team.

This position may appeal to someone who has been working in construction or on site and would like to progress their career into a technical role.

**The Role**:
Reporting to Senior Management you will assist the Estimating team in pricing tenders from first principles including:

- Attending relevant meetings / site visits
- Collating package information
- Liaising with sub-contractor supply chain
- Analysing sub-contractor / supplier quotations for the most competitive and compliant
- Ensuring commercially viable and competitive pricing through the effective use of all technical information
- The ability to be organised, interpret information accurately and to meet deadlines
- Ability to follow procedures
- Knowledge and experience of using CAD
- Understanding of the Scottish construction supply chain
- The drive and ability to self-manage workload
- The ability to establish effective relationships with internal and external

stakeholders

Preferred skills:

- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Analytical Thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a Team
- Familiar with computer systems and software

Hours of Work: Full Time Monday to Friday 8:00 to 16:30 or part time to enable college attendance

Salary is dependent on skills and experience.
