We are proud to have recently joined Yorkshire Endeavour Academy Trust (YEAT) alongside Castleton, Glaisdale, Lealholm, Airy Hill and Westcliff in Whitby. YEAT is also one of 32 organisations nationally to be a designated ‘English Hub’ which delivers excellence in early language and phonics teaching in reception and KS1. At Oakridge, the impact of this support is clear in our early reading provision and in our rapidly improving writing.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our school.

**You will**:

- Have previous experience in this type of role or relevant experience in a childcare setting.
- Be supportive, nurturing, patient and understanding.
- Have high levels of resilience to cope with the demands of the role.
- Be able to develop positive working relationships with pupils, parents, staff and other professionals.
- Be willing to undertake and act on relevant professional development and training.
- Be able to support in the delivery of high quality learning experiences for all pupils.
- Have high expectations of learning and behaviour and be ready to inspire and motivate our children.
- Seek to make learning exciting and a positive experience for all children.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
