Cake Decorator

**Overview**

**Duties**:

- Design and decorate cakes according to customer orders, ensuring high-quality presentation and adherence to specifications.
- Prepare various types of cake batters, icings, and fillings, following established recipes and food preparation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of cakes for special events and occasions.
- Assist in the development of new cake designs and flavours, contributing creative ideas to enhance our offerings.
- Manage inventory of baking supplies, ensuring that all necessary ingredients are stocked and readily available.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new techniques, trends, and safety practices within the culinary field.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in cake decorating or a similar culinary role is preferred
- Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is essential to ensure the highest quality products are produced.
- Experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous, providing a solid foundation in food preparation and production techniques.
- A creative mindset with an eye for detail will greatly enhance your ability to create beautiful cake designs that delight our customers.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £6.70-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 48 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Croydon: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Cake decorating: 1 year (required)
