Process Improvement Lead

**About The Role**
At CBS we are committed to, and passionate about, the continuous improvement of our processes and systems to deliver real value to our Members. We are establishing a permanent, centrally managed capability to lead this activity across the Society. The maingoal is to deliver improvements in efficiency, but also to improve customer service and to remove frustrations for process users. In addition, the central capability will train and coach colleagues in the line so that they can identify and deliver local improvementactivities.
You’ll help us to develop a culture which centres on continuous improvement, by delivering projects that will support us in making step changes in operational excellence whilst promoting an increased understanding and awareness amongst colleagues.
You’ll own the delivery of a portfolio of continuous improvement activities in operational and head office areas and will be responsible for agreeing the scope of improvement activity with the sponsoring local Executive or functional leader. You will be ableto obtain senior stakeholder buy in and be able to negotiate across the business to deliver outputs that produce best value.
This role will take full accountability for the definition, documentation and successful completion of complex process improvement projects (including some with significant business, political, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies). The role holderwill develop and indirectly manage a team of ‘process champions’ across the operational and head office areas, who will need to be trained, coached and supported in continuous improvement methodologies so that they can establish and maintain enduring processchange in their teams.
You’ll be accountable for the delivery of improvement outcomes to the Head of Corporate Development and to the local sponsor. The role holder will also support the wider Corporate Development team in the development and management of the Society’s target operatingmodel and capability model.
This role is very much about people, engagement and culture change as a means to implement continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean.

You’ll focus on delivery, ensuring change and continuous improvement projects align with strategic and functional plans and contribute to an increase in department performance and maturity.
