At Whittlebury Park we are looking for a well organised, dynamic team player to join our Conference & Events Operations team as a Business Events Operations Operative.

Nestled in hundreds of acres of ancient parkland, Whittlebury offers an award-winning four-star hotel, conference, and training centre. Our facilities include our 3AA Rosette winning Murray’s fine dining restaurant, luxurious spa and 36-hole championship golf course.

**Salary**:
£11.52 per hour / £23961.60 (based on 40 hours per week)

**What will you do?**

As a Business Events Operations Operative, you will:

- Assist in all areas of operational delivery across meeting rooms and 62 event spaces, including setting up and laying out tables and chairs.
- Manage changes to room layouts and equipment requests promptly, ensuring all meeting rooms are set and serviced to standard.
- Set up visual audio equipment, support conference facilities, serve buffets, and maintain tea and coffee stations.
- Clear used dishes and equipment promptly, maintain high personal hygiene and presentation standards, and adhere to health and safety legislation.
- Confidently interact with guests and delegates, provide general assistance across departments, and support team members with various tasks.

You will support the food and beverage or front of house teams, handover to the next shift, report maintenance issues, and ensure the security of the department. Essential skills include excellent customer service, attention to detail, flexibility, problem-solving, and good communication. Desirable skills include experience in a conference venue or hotels and food hygiene knowledge.

This list of duties cannot be exhaustive due to the requirements of the hotel industry. Therefore, you may be required from time to time to carry out reasonable tasks as requested by management.
