**Vacancy - Art Instructor**

**Location - Harrogate, HG3**

**Start date - Immediate start**

**Salary - £70 to £130 per day**

**Contract - Fixed Term**

**The job**
- To teach pupils within a SEMH setting.
- To teach Art to Key Stage 4 student to a relevant qualification level.
- To lead on curriculum delivery and an SEMH setting and undertake necessary pastoral duties.
- To develop pedagogy and practice relevant to social and emotional wellbeing.
- To support as a tutor to appropriate cohort.
- To provide a safe secure educational setting based on nurture principles.
- To teach pupils within the school as necessary to their needs (including qualifications up to GCSE level).
- To help develop an ethos that can provide support and education for pupils to help sustain them within education successfully based on the concept of ‘unconditional positive regard’.
- Collaboratively address deficiencies with any barriers to learning associated with all areas of the national curriculum but with a particular on art.
- To provide relevant documentary evidence for all pupils.
- To work with the care team to facilitate the provision of education to pupils.
- To attend any relevant training.
- To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as directed by the Senior Leadership Team.
- Hold a Teaching or equivalent qualification.
- Have experience in an SEMH/SEND setting.
- Hold relevant experience / qualifications suited to supporting learners with additional needs.
- Have experience supporting learners with SEMH, challenging behaviours & SEND needs.
- Be resilient, dedicated and reliable.
- Have experience working in Art
