**Par Loan Closer**
**Canary Wharf, London**

As a Barclays Par Loan Closer, you will be managing a diverse portfolio of secondary loan trades from trade date through to settlement. Working within a small team progressing both par and distressed trades, but with the main focus being par trades. Within this role you will become an integral to servicing Barclays client base by acting as the administrative point of communication for all loans traded on the secondary market by Barclays in EMEA.

**What will you be doing?**
- Drafting LMA Par/Distressed trade documents; Trade Confirmations, Transfer Certificates, Sub-participation agreements and Multi-lateral netting agreements
- Managing trade documentation deal sites, and ensuring public/private Chinese wall is effectively controlled
- Reviewing Credit Agreements to assess transferability requirements and restrictions
- Liaising with the Operations trade settlements team to instruct the settlement of trades.
- Monitoring the trader’s positions to ensure the trade and settled positions are reconciled at all times
- Advising senior members of the closing team and trade desk of potential issues with documentation and trade settlements
- Liaising with the trading desk, sales and deal analysts, trade counterparties, agent banks and legal counsel to ensure documents are in order for a smooth settlement

**What we’re looking for**:

- Demonstrable experience within the Secondary Loans Closing space covering Par and Distressed transactions across both LMA and LSTA documentation
- Organised and able to prioritise work in a high pressure environment with the ability to manage a diverse workload to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and decisions making skills with the ability to ‘think outside the box’

**Skills that will help you in the role**
- Skilled at handling a large portfolio of trades adopting a cradle-to-grave approach
- Able to problem solve system discrepancies, PNL adjustments and able to make decisions around PNL accruals and cash postings
