Axon Moore are delighted to be recruiting for an Accounts Payable Team Leader to join one of the North West’s fastest growing, highly acquisitive businesses, based in Warrington.
Appointed on a permanent basis, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and friendly team.
Reporting to their impressive Accounts Payable Manager, you will play a key part within their large Accounts Payable team with responsibilities as follows:

- Manage key supplier accounts on a daily basis, ensuring they are kept up to date and escalating any queries in a timely manner
- Develop relationships with key suppliers through regular communications
- Lead a team of AP Assistants, monitoring & hitting agreed KPI’s
- Conduct monthly team 1 2 1’s
- Support a team of AP Assistants with training, query escalation and other issues
- Act as a key contact point for AP related queries
- Support the AP Manager with recording & implementing SOP’s and other department standardisation
- Support the AP Manager in the research and implementation of departmental projects
- Maintain a high standard of work adhering to all regulatory legislation
- Support the AP Manager in staff interview, selection, training etc.
- Other duties as necessary

To be considered for this role, you will have the following experience/qualifications:

- Experience as a Team Leader in a previous position is desirable
- Experience working in an Accounts Payable department for 5+ years is preferred
- Previous experience within a finance department in another role would be considered
- A recognised Accounts Payable qualification would be beneficial but not essential e.g. APA or willing to study
- A recognised accounting qualification is beneficial but not essential
- 5 GCSE’s including Maths & English

This outstanding opportunity is offering a competitive salary DOE plus other excellent benefits including an annual bonus, pension, free parking plus more. The role will be office based Monday - Friday.
