As a Barclays Senior Assurance Manager your role will form part of the Operational Risk Framework, Capital and Reporting team and part of the Operational Risk Assurance team, who are responsible for the management of Operational Risk assurance activitiesundertaken to oversee the implementation and execution of the Operational Risk Framework and performance of the Operational Risk Transaction Cycle.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Managing the Operational Risk Assurance Plan on a bi-annual basis to inform the annual review plan, working with stakeholders across Operational Risk and broader Risk Services
- Planning and information gathering to finalise the scope for individual reviews
- Testing and complete analysis to ensure framework requirements are met
- Raising issues where controls are found to be ineffective and track any remedial actions to completion
- Monitoring performance against agreed and documented assurance indicators and measures
- Tracking issues raised through assurance activities, as well as dispensations, waivers & breaches that relate to the ORF, including regular reporting and escalation for overdue items
- Producing reports covering all assurance activities completed within the Operational Risk Assurance team for Senior Management meetings and Committees
- Presenting results through regular and ad hoc updates as required
**What we're looking for**:

- Assurance experience, including undertaking conformance reviews, control testing, audit, or other related experience and knowledge acquired with a leading bank and/or consultancy.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail combined with commercial awareness. Shows ability to think laterally, develop and deliver effective solutions against tight deadlines.
- The ability to produce high quality documentation and present results from assurance activities with clarity, including formal reports, presentations and updates to Senior Management.
Skills that will help you in the role
- Understanding and experience of operational risk management and framework. Knowledge of best practice in respect of risk and control frameworks and associated regulatory requirements.
- Professional qualification in a related discipline is preferable (Audit / Risk etc). Knowledge of industry standards in relation to control & assurance (e.g. COSO).
- Be a member of one of the recognised industry bodies specialising in Operational Risk Management and have progressed towards obtaining a recognised professional qualification.
**Where will you be working?**
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful greenenvironment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
