THE ROLE
The Risk Manager is a key member of the ASOS Business Assurance & Resilience team. You will work closely with the wider risk team on ASOS’ Enterprise Risk Management framework, business continuity and insurance programme. The Business Assurance & ResilienceTeam is on an exciting journey looking to closely integrate risk, business continuity, insurance and internal audit. This role is integral to helping ASOS take the next steps in its journey towards best-in-class governance, transitioning from start-up modeto a more mature operating environment. THE TEAM & YOUR ROLE
You will be a core member of the business assurance & resilience team, providing specialist support to the business to manage today and prepare for tomorrow. We are a small team, working closely together to support ASOS in achieving its strategic objectives,through risk management, internal audit, business continuity management to insurance and health & safety.
Insurance
- Deliver ASOS’ insurance programme renewal process
- Be key point of contact within ASOS for insurance queries, claims and project support
- Drive process improvement to make understanding insurance requirements easier and more accessible for stakeholders
- Liaise with our insurance providers regarding account management
- Work together with the ASOS H&S team to mitigate risk, using data from claims and lessons learnt to drive a stronger control environment
Business Continuity Management
- Support the Director of Internal Audit on the ASOS crisis management framework and associated plans including ensuring they remain fit for purpose and evolve in line with business strategy and risk appetite
- Deliver education and awareness campaigns of the framework for key stakeholders
- Develop and deliver exercises and training for stakeholder groups e.g., commercial Heads of, support as required on Exec exercises
- Conduct Business Impact Assessments over core processes and feed the output of these into crisis management plans
- Develop & implement a training and awareness plan for engaging ASOSers on our BCM plans and processes
- Owner of key relationships with third party BCM support providers
- Send out our weekly new starter notification using our mass notification tool xMatters
Enterprise Risk Management
- Work on functional risk reviews, preparation of Exec and Board papers
- Support the Director of Internal Audit & Risk in evolving and managing our ERM process, including reviewing and updating policies, delivering trainings and awareness raising activities etc.
- Provide hands on support to our functional risk champions
We’d love to meet, someone with
- A strong technical background in insurance; ACII or DIPCII qualified would be preferential
- Business continuity or risk management experience
- Strong cross functional skills
- Excellent communication skills
- E-commerce and/or retail experience preferred
- Consulting background preferred
- Someone who wants to make a difference and is excited by opportunity to grow and build
