**Job Summary** A position within the Business Development (BD) Team working within the BD Operations Team. The primary purpose of the role is to support the BD Analyst with opportunity tracking, basic Salesforce support and to provide administrative support to BD colleagues,including:

- Identifying appropriate commercial opportunities through the use of online portals in line with the Business Development strategy and liaising with Bid Leads.
- Monitoring and maintaining all tender portals and other sites to identify business development opportunities in line with current Business Development strategy and provide a single point of contact for our client's BD.
- Retrieving documents, managing clarification responses, and submitting company registration details where appropriate.
- Supporting with the management of the annual renewals and subscriptions of tender tracking providers
- Providing Salesforce support to the BD Analyst as required
- Booking BD colleagues onto events as required
- Providing basic admin support to the wider BD team as required

**Essential Job Duties** - Supporting the BD Analyst to carry out daily tender tracking of new opportunities
- Registering the organisation on new portals as required
- Expressing/registering the organisation’s interest in opportunities on tender portals at the request of Bid Leads
- Supporting the BD Analyst to develop and maintain a log of the types of opportunities each BD Director/BDM are interested in and maintaining regular contact to ensure ongoing accuracy
- Providing a responsive central point of contact for our client's Business Development, maintaining access and procedures for managing central mailboxes.
- Downloading and sharing documents for opportunities of interest
- Raising clarifications and downloading messages from portals prior to a Bid Manager being assigned to the specific opportunity
- Booking BD colleagues onto events
- Providing the BD Analyst with basic Salesforce support as required

**Education and Experience Requirements** Demonstratable experience of:

- Using MS software packages
- Using shared file systems
- Experience in using a CRM system
- Working with a wide range of stakeholders
- Managing multiple tasks at once
- Working as part of a team

Individual Competencies
- Highly motivated with the ability to organise and plan own workload
- Capable of working with minimum supervision
- Good administrative skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail required with ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Strong computer skills
- A good standard of Maths and English
- Ability to communicate professionally across all levels of the business and wider external sector
