Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist

**Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to lead the services across Mid-and-South Devon and Torpoint, Cornwall working within the Neurodiversity Paradigm using Neurodiversity Affirming practices. **Whilst the role will be based in Dawlish, Devon there will be occasional travel to other sites.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a truly therapeutic environment where the dedicated inhouse Integrated Therapies Team work seamlessly with education team members to provide meaningful packages of support that enable young people and young adults to reach their individual potential.

Working closely with the other Clinical Leads and Head of Therapies, you will support the continued growth of the team and will be supported to develop your own leadership skills.

The company is a specialist provision providing learning and supportive environment activities for young people aged 16 - 25 years, designed to meet the needs of those with Learning difficulties and disabilities, including Autism, Social Emotional and Mental Health conditions and complex behaviour.

**Everyday you will**
- Develop and deliver Speech and Language Therapy programmes to children and young adults in primary/secondary/further education or residential homes with complex speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
- Supporting peers and the Head of Therapies, being an effective Team Member whilst working on own initiative.
- Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team with internal and external colleagues.
- Attending and participating in team meetings as well as review meetings of cases on own case load.
- Engaging fully in clinical supervision which will be offered by a qualified practitioner.
- Supporting operational management and supervisors to junior members of the team and speech and language therapy assistants or students on placement as agreed.

**To succeed in this role you will have **
- Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and evidence of continuing professional development.
- Must be HCPC and RCSLT registered.
- Drivers license.
