Lead Support Worker
£9.59 per hour
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Sheffield
Full UK driving licence and your own car is preferred but not essential
Are you experienced in supporting adults with learning disabilities? Are you ready to take the next step in your career and lead by example?
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team in Sheffield as the Lead Support Worker, where you will have access to an excellent training programme, strong career progression and the opportunity to deliver outstanding support through our unique ‘Activate’ model. This model is proven to make a measurable difference to people’s lives and your professional satisfaction.
You will be supporting six services across Sheffield, largely between the S8 and S12 areas. We support people with complex physical, emotional and mental health needs, autism and behaviour that others may find challenging.
Your role is to ensure that the people you are supporting can achieve their goals, which includes engaging in the activities they enjoy. Across our services there are a range of interests and some of those include arts and crafts, shopping, going to cafes and going on day trips. Trips to the seaside are a firm favourite at the moment
It’s your role to ensure that the people you are supporting are living the lives they choose and on a day-to-day basis you will be providing support with full personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, grocery shopping and household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry.
Shifts can vary depending on the person or people you are supporting, but include day shifts, long day shifts with sleepovers and waking night shifts. We provide support 365 days of the year so you will need to be able to work flexibly on a rota that includes weekdays, weekends and a share of the bank holidays. At Dimensions, we value work / life balance and as such, you will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.
For further information about the role, please contact Layla on 07973 424 590.
