**School Chaplain**
**2 days per week, term time only + 1 week.**
**Scale: 5, Points 12 to 17. £10,126 to £12,910**
We are seeking an experienced and passionate School Chaplain to join our dedicated team at St Annes RC Voluntary Academy. As our School Chaplain, you will play a vital role in nurturing the spiritual and pastoral wellbeing of our school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer spiritual and pastoral presence, care, and leadership within the school community; meet people where they are and be ready to listen to them.
- Provide distinctive and inclusive Christian leadership, respond to questions of faith when they are asked, without assuming or imposing.
- Lead assemblies and worship, offer times and opportunities for prayer, and faithfully pray for the school community to help the school live out its vision, ethos, and values.
- Offer practical compassion to all in the school community and work in partnership with local churches and other agencies.
- Be present at punctuation marks in the life of the schools, the beginnings and endings, celebrations and tragedies; listening, caring, and praying through such times.
- Undertake any training and receive any supervision that is needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant theological or ministry-related qualifications
- Experience in a similar chaplaincy or pastoral role, preferably within an educational setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and the wider community
- A deep understanding and commitment to the Catholic faith and its teachings

- Creativity and innovation in developing engaging and meaningful worship, prayer, and faith-based activities
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of educators
