**_Salary:_** £35K-£40K per annum plus car allowance and mileage paid

**_Company & Project:_**

Are you an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge? Our client, a main social housing contractor is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to help oversee new projects in and around Norwich.

**_Duties & Responsibilities (including and not limited to):_**
- To assist with the negotiation of sub-contract orders
- Deliver subcontract procurement
- Checking and authorising Subcontract Orders and Payments
- To assist the Quantity Surveyor as and when required
- Assist in the production of timely CVCs
- Preparing sub-contract order requisitions
- Be able to accommodate site visits as required
- Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks during project delivery

**_Desirable Experience:_**
- Relevant experience working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in social housing
- Residential experience preferred

**_Qualifications & Skills:_**
- Degree qualified (essential)
- A creative and innovative approach to problem solving
- Strong numeracy and financial management skills
- Negotiation and team work skills
- The ability to motivate and lead those on site
- A detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters.
