Lovett Care is seeking a **Maintenance Operative** to join our amazing team at **Bradshaw Manor Care Home.** This is a fantastic opportunity to work in partnership with our team to deliver quality care for a diverse group of residents.
**Hours**:24 per week
**Salary**:£10.90 per hour
- (You must be willing to be available for call out, out of these hours should an emergency occur)._

**Job Purpose**:
To provide maintenance services, in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager. To action both planned and reactive maintenance issues to prioritise in terms of urgency.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of maintenance implementation and delivery
- Implement actions to meet and maintain maintenance standards Systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues which arise
- Ensure the residents’ rights are protected
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
- Develop effective working relationships with the other team members within the home
- Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of the service’s quality assurance programme
- Cooperate with the implementation, evaluation, orientation, and induction of all new team members
- Completion of mandatory E-Learnings
- To embed and demonstrate our company values throughout your working day

**Qualifications**:
- RFQ Diploma/HNC/City & Guilds in Maintenance or Building Services _(preferred)_
**You will have**:
- Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with residents and their visitors
- Health & Safety knowledge pertaining to building maintenance
- Plumbing, joinery, plastering skills and painting/decorating skills
- Committed to making a difference and adding value
- A flexible approach to the working day; work-life-balance
- A full driving licence and prepared to travel between our Care Homes if/as required
