Control Centre Operator
This is a rare opportunity to join our Care on Call team as a Control Centre Operator, offering integral support to both clients and staff alike, taking emergency calls and directing the relevant support and care to clients in need. The Control Centre Operator posts are a vital part of our service provision and applicants will need to be highly motivated and prepared to work in a busy environment where multi-tasking abilities are a must.
The Control Centre Operators are responsible for taking a high volume of emergency calls to the control centre from Care on Call customers needing support in their own homes due to falls or medical emergencies, assessing support over the phone and allocating support as needed, sending mobile wardens to assist, ringing emergency services to attend, contacting family members where appropriate, and liaising with other health professionals when in the best interest of the customer.
You will be required to use a dedicated Answerlink system, answering calls and updating the client record with actions taken for each customer.
You will also be required to answer outside calls from members of the public and other professionals making enquiries to the service as well as daily admin tasks relevant to the service. There is a need to make routine calls to customers for a variety of reasons and you will be required to support mobile wardens and managers to maintain the efficient running of day to day tasks.
