**The Role
You’ll play a key role in the sourcing of alternative products and suppliers, working closely with Engineering and Quality departments. **You’ll also audit suppliers and make comparisons by sourcing new suppliers and negotiating the best deals.**

Being able to work well with different departments is essential as you liaise with both the Purchasing and Quality managers to check the quality of goods against agreed specifications.

**You’ll also work closely with the Chinese buying team to ensure that where practical and economically viable, more components are re-sourced in China using their existing and new supplier base.**

Another component of the role is to record the savings made throughout the year to show progress against the saving goal. **To be successful, you’ll need strong purchasing / procurement experience as well as a commercial mindset.
