Food and Beverage Assistant (PT) - located on the Birmingham Business Park, approx 30 hours a week, Monday to Thursday (some 7 am starts) - working on a rota basis

Job Purpose

To assist in the cooking, service and preparation of food and beverages to a range of customers, based at our site located on the Birmingham Business Park. Must have some experience of cooking breakfast etc.

Person Specification

You will be hard working, able to plan ahead effectively and be able to adapt well into our team. With a keen eye for detail, ensuring the site is fully stocked, clean, and service is always with a smile.

Duties

1. Set up of all front of house food areas prior to service periods, ensuring all areas are clean, presentable and accessible for the clients

2. Assisting in the preparation of food items, salads, sandwiches, pre portions etc. as directed by the team leader in order that the full menu of items can be provided for 2 of our sites - some basis cooking skills are required

3. Prepare, cook, serve and assemble hot and cold food for customers to ensure both a fast and courteous standard of service, with the emphasis being on excellent customer service

4. Operate the till and process card payments in order that customers can settle their bill accurately and timely via the Micro Market tills

5. On occasions, assist in preparing and delivering corporate buffets on the business park

6. Wash all pots, cooking and serving equipment as per the requirements of the Food Hygiene Management System

7. Undertake cleaning duties to include general cleaning of front of house areas, the Micro Market equipment, shelves, fridges etc as well as cleaning kitchen surfaces including fridges and freezer units, as part of legal requirement to provide a clean and hygienically safe catering environment both at the unit and

8. Build relationships with the facilities team on sites, and also with the Saffron team generally

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: £15,500.00-£16,600.00 per year
