**Job Title: Cyber Security Officer**

**Salary**: £35,600 - £45,300

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Threat Analysis and Management**: Monitor networks for security breaches and investigate violations. Use advanced threat detection tools and techniques to identify and mitigate potential cyber threats.
- **Security Policies and Procedures**: Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, protocols, and procedures. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- **Incident Response**: Lead incident response activities, including detection, containment, eradication, and recovery. Conduct post-incident analysis to improve future incident handling and prevention.
- **Vulnerability Management**: Perform regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests. Identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- **Security Awareness Training**: Develop and conduct security awareness training programs for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
- **Risk Management**: Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans. Evaluate and enhance the organization's security posture through continuous risk analysis.
- **Security Architecture**: Design and implement security architectures to protect information systems and networks. Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and tools.
- **Compliance**: Ensure the organization's compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- **Reporting**: Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, breaches, and vulnerabilities. Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a cyber security role.
- **Certifications**: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in security technologies and tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus software, and vulnerability management tools.
- **Knowledge**: Deep understanding of cyber security principles, threat landscape, and best practices.
- **Soft Skills**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- **Other**: Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
