Test Engineer sought within a global manufacturer of specialised electromechanical and electronic equipment to the travel infrastructure sector.

The role will be suited to engineers from electronic manufacturing backgrounds with a keen interest in electronic based equipment development.

The role will require good knowledge of electronic components, you will investigate and evaluate test equipment improvements to increase reliability, efficiency and safety and you will implement design changes to test equipment and test methods. You willassess the new of spare parts for production implementation and development. You will also be responsible for planned and predictive maintenance and providing breakdown resolution in a live production environment.

The role:

- Investigate and evaluate test equipment improvements
- Implement design changes to test equipment and test methods
- Create and update test instructions to enable production operatives to operate equipment safely
- Assess the new for spare parts
- Planned and predictive maintenance and provide breakdown resolution in a live production environment
- Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation and records as required by the business
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices

The person:

- Electronics/ Electrical based apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications
- Proven experience in a relevant role in a similar environment
- Good working knowledge and understanding of test processes and technology and knowledge of National Instruments Hardware and LabVIEW software
- Ability to maintain and improve effective working practices
- Ability to support teams internally and externally
- Familiar with planned and preventative maintenance
