BAM Ritchies are currently recruiting for a Service Coordinator to be based from our Kilsyth office near Glasgow.
Working within the operations team across the UK, the role will coordinate day-to-day operational activities of our busy internal plant department to continually improve our safety, systems, processes and provide continued support and product knowledge.
Continue to drive our endeavour for excellence in customer service and support our growing asset portfolio.
**Your mission**
**Specific duties and responsibilities as Service Coordinator**:
- Demonstrate strong and effective leadership, customer relationship management and project delivery excellence.
- Supervise, monitor, and communicate to motivate a team lead daily briefings to maximise efficiency and performance.
- Meet objectives and service standards including deadlines and financial targets.
- Building a good business relationship with our supply chain partners.
- Coordinate service schedules for plant in depots and on site, workshop inspections and compliance, analyse non-conformities identifying trends, implementing pro-active maintenance regimes. Preparation and provision of reporting to management.
- Look for innovation and good working practises to help enhance our business and deliver best industry practice.
- Ensuring customer orders are delivered by the team to exceed customer expectations and monitoring performance against agreed KPI’s. Report and action all complaints and administration issues in a timely manner.
- Work closely with departmental managers and finance team to ensure supplier accounts meet the business requirements for compliance and Health and Safety.
- Managing safety and carry out workplace risk assessments activity plans with team and make sure risk assessments maintained. Delivery of regular Toolbox Talks for the team and quarterly briefing sessions in line with the business requirements.
**Key activities will include**:
- Solve problems with team and record outcomes, both from technical and resource point of view.
- Carry out and record/process regular plant inspections and services.
- Organising the allocation and issuing of material/parts.
- Lead the familiarisation of others in the safe operation and correct maintenance of plant.
- Identify opportunities to implement new technology and innovation to digitalise our business.
- Plan and organise resources to meet workload in collaboration with operational teams and site requirements.
- Train, mentor and develop others.
- Analyse plant breakdowns and provide monthly report.
- Plan and or manage pre-insurance inspections on plant and equipment.
- Ensure the workshop and yard area under your responsibility is clean and tidy and compliant with current legislative requirements and procedures.
**Who are we looking for?**
**Your qualifications, skills and experience will include**:
- Experienced Service Coordinator from plant hire or a similar business.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role preferably in a fast-paced environment would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Computer literate, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A good understanding and experience of managing Health and Safety environmental practices in the workplace.
- Self-motivated with drive to succeed.
- Industry recognised qualifications.
- Full driving licence.
