**Location: Dungeness 4 days week on site**

As a Waste Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring that all waste generated during the decommissioning process is managed in compliance with legal requirements and in a safe, secure, and environmentally responsible manner. You will work closely with other engineers, project managers, and waste management teams to ensure that waste is characterized, packaged, stored, transported, and disposed of safely and efficiently.

**As a Waste Consultant your main responsibilities would be**:

- Provision of technical support within the Waste Management organisation.
- To provide technical support to projects and relay the clear expectations of waste

management.
- Provide technical support to current and future project design and implementation.
- Provide authoritative advice for internal and external stakeholders.
- Carry out timely investigation of events as required and identify improvements.
- Commit to continuous improvement of waste programmes/strategies.
- Contribute to the effective development and delivery of training within own area of

specialism.
- Design, delivery and evaluation of training, acting as coach and mentor.
- Support colleague’s learning and development through knowledge sharing, task instruction

**You’ll have relevant experience in**:

- Experience in waste management, preferably in a nuclear or hazardous waste environment
- Knowledge of waste regulations and requirements, including waste characterization, packaging, transport, and disposal
- Knowledge of environmental issues including practices, policies, legislation
and stakeholders relating to radioactive and non-radioactive waste.

**You will also have these Qualifications/Skills**:

- HNC/HND or equivalent
- Experience will be considered above education.- Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas._
