**Salary: Grade 4 £23,500 - £23,893 FTE**

**Base: Crewe Cemetery, Crewe**

**Shift Pattern: 37 hours a week**

**Contract Duration: Permanent**

Orbitas Bereavement Services is a wholly owned Company of Cheshire East Council and has responsibility for managing the Council’s 10 cemeteries and two crematoria.

As a Cemeteries Operative you will play an important role to provide bereavement services to the community of East Cheshire. You will be responsible for undertaking the preparation of graves (via mechanical or manual methods) and will be involved in a variety of horticultural and grounds maintenance activities always in compliance with current Health and Safety legislation, other relevant regulations and codes of practice.

Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage however all relevant training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Please note a Full UK Driving License is required for this role and experience of towing a trailer would be advantageous.
