Edinburgh, United Kingdom NatWest Full time

Join us as a Head of Operating System Standards and Risk Controls
- We’ll look to you to establish enterprise standards, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment across the bank

- This is a high-profile role that offers considerable exposure as you’ll be working with senior leaders to define and implement enterprise standards

**What you'll do**:
In this key role, you’ll define, document and maintain clear enterprise standards that guide colleagues across the Group. We’ll look to you to establish robust governance mechanisms to monitor adherence to enterprise standards across the operating system and the bank.

You’ll also oversee compliance with established operating system standards and practices, fostering a culture of performance discipline and accountability across all business areas. In addition, you’ll develop clear mechanisms for addressing non-adherence to standards, driving clear accountability and continuous improvement.

Day-to-day, you’ll:

You’ll bring a strong track record of leading large-scale transformation programmes, including cultural, structural, and process change across multiple business areas.

With proven experience in embedding and enforcing enterprise standards across systems, processes, and ways of working to ensure consistency and compliance, you’ll have the ability to design and monitor frameworks that hold teams accountable for adhering to operating principles, with clear mechanisms for addressing non-compliance and reinforcing desired behaviours.

You’ll also have:

- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to operational risk in financial services
- The ability to collaborate and influence across senior leadership teams, including ExCo and other stakeholders
- Proficiency in using data to inform strategic decisions and monitor ongoing risks
- The ability to leverage data analytics and reporting tools to gain insights into performance, risk trends, and control effectiveness
