Tool Hire Assistant

At Jewson, we are looking for a customer focused individual to join us as a **Tool Hire Assistant **helping to deliver tools and equipment to valued customers. You will be joining a long-standing team based in our Aylesburyand full training will be provided.

This is a full-time position **Monday to Friday with every other Saturday. (We are happy to discuss options to suit you.)**

Our branches are busy places, with lots going on inside and out, and whilst the exact duties may vary here is a taster of the role.
- Having a natural and helpful customer service mindset you will assist with all customers face to face and over the telephone with any tool hire related enquiries or assistance to deliver to a business or domestic site.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspection before driving our company van. Defect reporting and Adhering to driving legislation working time directive and safe driving practices.
- Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our tool hire equipment in the workshop
- Develop great relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs and providing advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible
- Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise tool hire delivery and collection, keeping customers updated throughout their journey
- Delivering tools and talking customers through how to use them
- Identify local new project/sales leads while out at about to report to the supervisor to generate new leads.
- Working according to Health & Safety

**What are we looking for?**

We are looking for a customer-focused and proactive person who enjoys working as part of a team, This role will be driving a company van during your working day. We deliver in all weathers and should be happy working both indoors and outdoors with a focus on H&S. No previous experience is required. Just a desire to work as part of a team and to learn and have a passion to put the customer first.
