**Primary Teacher**

A large special needs (SEN) school situated in the borough of Brent are actively searching for an SEN teacher to work on the primary site supporting PMLD Learners. This position is an immediate/January start with the expectations to run until the end ofthe academic year.

**The School**

This is a friendly and supportive SEN School that works closely with ASC, MLD, SLD and PMLD which is rated Outstanding by OFSTED. This particular SEN School is located in the North West of London. The school have fantastic facilities across all of theirsites that is easily accessible for both students and staff. The school has parking at their main site in addition to off street parking so it easily accessible for those who drive and within walking distance from the local stations.

The school has a strong ethos that implement in the school every day. The staff have created a high morale and want to make sure they provide a safe and comfortable space for everyone.

**The SEN Teacher Role**

Ideally the successful applicant will have a proven track record working as an SEN Teacher in an SEN environment, but the Headteacher will happily consider anyone who is looking to transition from a mainstream setting.

The successful SEN Teacher applicant will be teaching a mixed KS1 class (8 pupils) with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. Most of the children have communication and sensory needs as well as developmental delays. The class consists of 8 pupilswho are all working at P levels, as a result experience of the EYFS curriculum would be advantageous, though not essential.

Progress with these pupils can be slow when compared to their contemporaries so patience, a caring nature, passion for the job and strong self-belief will be essential.
