- Job Purpose
- TechnipFMC have an opportunity for a Senior Procurement & Subcontracting Specialist to join its Global Sourcing & Procurement team (GSP). The Senior Procurement & Subcontracting Specialist will be part of a collaborative team supporting supply chain management activities for subsea and renewables projects.
The Senior Procurement & Subcontracting Specialist shall satisfactorily protect the commercial and contractual interests of TechnipFMC in respect of the subsea projects in all of its activities and transactions, ensuring that all GSP policies and procedures are adhered to. They must pursue and maximise the commercial opportunities available to TechnipFMC through effective management of all SCM activities. Further, they shall mentor and coach lesser experienced team members in support of this goal.
- Job Description
- **Main accountabilities**:

- Provide support to Procurement & Subcontracting Specialists and Project Buyers;
- Advise project and tender teams on sourcing and procurement strategies;
- Ensure compliance with GSP policies, processes and procedures;
- Promote the proper use of procurement systems and tools such as ERP systems, Ariba SLP and Ariba Sourcing;
- Responsible for development of strategy and maintenance of project procurement plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders;
- Preparation of invitations to tender (ITTs) and sourcing activities;
- Supplier qualification activities in collaboration with the QHSE department and other stakeholders;
- Bid evaluations and comparisons;
- Subcontract drafting including identification of appropriate contracting models and main contract flow-downs;
- Negotiations with suppliers and management of clarifications;
- Preparation of award recommendations;
- Subcontract progress follow-up, expediting and commercial management up to the point of closeout;
- Supplier performance feedback;
- Reporting;
- Promotion of lessons learned and best practice.

**Ad-hoc Requirements**:

- Support department initiatives (for example, not exhaustive: Company sourcing strategies, systems, tools & process development);
- Support frame agreement development and administration;
- Support global operating centres

**Required for position**:

- Report any unsafe or environmentally unsound acts and conditions to their immediate supervisor such that remedial action can be taken to manage the risk.

- Take action upon any health, safety, security and environmental matter brought to their notice and report to their Manager on any matter which they are unable to rectify.

- **Typical background and experience**:
**Experience/skills - Must have**:

- Subcontract drafting and negotiation experience;
- Commercial awareness and strong analytical skills;
- Previous experience in a supply chain or subcontracting environment;
- Proactive/committed approach to work, flexibility and the ability to manage changing priorities;
- Strong planning and organisation skills;
- Good team player with the diplomatic skills necessary to build strong and constructive internal and external relationships;
- Good influencing and negotiation skills;
- Excellent communication skills.

**Experience/skills - Nice to have**:

- Experience and knowledge of the renewables and/or oil and gas industry.
- Experience working in a project environment.
- Experience of procurement systems, software and tools such as SAP / Ariba.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- Professional certification in supply chain management.
