**Personal Care Assistant/Home Care Assistant**

Personal assistant required for an intelligent, humorous, physically disabled 30 year old man. This role will require all aspects of personal care, driving to appointments and days out using the employer's vehicle, so having a full driving licence is essential.

The role can be physically demanding for short periods during the day. We are looking for someone most importantly with a sense of humour who would motivate and encourage the client on a variety of activities. You will receive:

- Standard rate of £11.00 per hour
- A pension (if eligible)
- 5.6 weeks per year pro rata annual leave
- Full certificated training on all aspects of the role

Hours available:

- 20 hours per week (over 2 days per week, one during the week and one during the weekend, actual days of work may change, notice will be given)
- There is the opportunity to work additional hours on occasions in relation to holidays and sickness

What’s Required:

- Full driving license essential
- Provide assistance with all aspects of personal care, such as toileting, bathing, washing hair and dressing
- Flexibility in working hours essential
- Weekend work essential
- Daily support with use and care of a ventilator. The use of a suction machine is required occasionally
- An enhanced DBS check, the cost will be met by the Employer

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
