**What is the job role?**

We are searching for a **Supply Chain and Stores Co-ordinator** to join our team at Gael Force Engineering, based in Inverness.

**What we are looking for**:

- To work and supervise the stores to ensure efficient, safe and accurate handling of stock.
- Receiving and checking accuracy of deliveries (Incoming Quality Assessments where applicable).
- To ensure all stock and parts are ordered to meet requisition timescales.
- To ensure that requisition owners are kept up to date with expected delivery times.
- To negotiate competitive pricing of materials and components for manufacture.
- Managing allocated suppliers in accordance with the Group Supplier Management Process.
- To ensure all hires of tools and plant are negotiated and monitored throughout hire.
- To purchase consumables and PPE in line with budget ensuring it is accurately recorded in line with company Purchasing Procedure, placing orders in a timely manner to achieve production and delivery schedules.
- To maintain purchase order records on Greentree for barge builds, ensuring accuracy of job costs.
- To build strong relationships with suppliers and co-workers.
- To produce build packs and delivery to point of use for production staff.
- To follow all company policies and procedures.
- Any other work as could reasonably be expected of this role.

**What youll need**:
**Essential**:

- Full driving licence.
- Previous experience in a Stores/stores role.
- Experience of purchasing and sourcing components in an engineering environment.
- Ability to work under own initiative and function well as part of a team.
- High level of IT competence.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Suppliers, Customers and Co-workers.
- Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility.

**Desirable**:

- Working knowledge of Stores/stock software.
- Negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Forklift Operators Certificate.

**What can you expect?**

In return for working a 39-hour week, we are offering:

- A salary of between £23,000 - £25,000 per annum.

- Sector leading annual leave allowance commencing at 30 days per annum and increasing generously with length of service.
