The objective of the Numis Risk team is to help the business achieve its strategic goals by embedding a strong risk culture. This includes identifying risk threatening our business, finding ways to control it, and monitoring how effectively the businessis keeping within these limits. Numis is looking for a Risk Apprentice to improve the way the Risk team operates.

**A typical day**
- Assisting risk managers manage risk across the Group on a day-to-day basis
- Improving the reporting and quantitative analysis by improving the design of reports and increasing automation
- Managing risk incidents, ensuring that they are effectively resolved and preventative or detective measures are put in place
- Attending risk meetings throughout the business, complete action plans, and monitor progress
- As the apprentice furthers their knowledge and skills, they will take greater ownership for providing risk oversight, challenge and guidance to particular teams within the business. They will have increased responsibility for key Risk team deliverablessuch as control design, testing, incident management and Board reporting.

**You must have**
- GCSE English & Maths 4-9 (C-A*) or equivalent

**Skills needed**
- Good analytical skills
- Be comfortable using technology - good Excel & PowerPoint skills will be an advantage
- The ability to come up with practical solutions to problems
- Comfortable speaking up and challenging where necessary
- Contribute to improvements and make a clear difference
- Openness to new ideas and an instinct for learning and critical thinking.

Digital Business Accelerator Level 3

**Future prospect**

After your Digital Business Accelerator apprenticeship, you can progress into further qualifications such as Level 4 Project Management, Software Engineering and Digital Marketing.
