Resources Co-ordinator

We are looking for a Resources Coordinator on a 12 month Fixed Term (maternity leave cover) basis. This is an office based role at our Head Office in Lowton.
As a key member of our Operations team, the main purpose of the Resource coordinator is to assist LIG with the successful delivery of sites by ensuring we are accurately planning and resourcing the jobs in the safest and most cost effective way for the business.
Day to day you'll work along the Resource Manager to ensure required movement orders are submitted to the right authorities for the abnormal load notifications, liaise with suppliers for any plant requirements we have ensuring we are achieving the most cost effective and safest solution for the required works, raise PO numbers.
You will work closely as a team to achieve quick turnaround times and assist colleagues within the team where required.
**Main Duties**
- Assigning employees/plant to projects in accordance with their geographically location, skillsets, previous experience, and availability
- Submitting abnormal loads (movement orders) for any required vehicles to the relevant authority.
- Updating resourcing and transport trackers
- Rehiring equipment and plant obtaining best value for money
- Following client processes to ensure successful delivery of sites, ensuring any suppliers have the correct training according to client requirements
- Assisting with issues on site when resource input is required and ensuring they are recorded when received.
- Daily check to ensure sites are allocated and identify any missing job items
- Make phone calls to operatives within the field to make sure they are aware of their upcoming sites and that they understand what is required for them.
- Liaising with the surveys department to ensure the right plant attends sites if suppliers or LIG require alternatives to be selected.
- Providing project teams with support when it comes to resource issues or improving resource processes
**Person Specification**
- Proven administration experience
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills - written & verbal.
- Previous experience of Movement orders is desired.
- Confident in making phone calls to field operatives/suppliers to confirm site details and clarify requirements.
- Be able to commute to Head Office (Lowton) Mon-Fri.
