**Location**:Daneshill Industrial Estate, Basingstoke, Hampshire
**Contract**:Permanent, Full Time
**Salary**:Days: £8.91 per hour; Nights: £10.41 per hour
**Hours**: Days: 06.00 - 15.00 hours (plus weekend overtime on rota system)
**or**
**Nights**: 22.00 - 07.00 hours (plus weekend overtime on rota system)

The Hygiene Operative role is to carry out a variety of cleaning duties for a well-established and renowned drinks manufacturer producing a range of branded drinks and vending machines from their factories in Basingstoke. Our scope of work across the siteincludes production areas and equipment, floors and drains, toilets/amenities and hand wash stations, yards and perimeter areas.

Reporting to the Hygiene Supervisor you will form part of a small hygiene team ensuring that the factory is maintained to necessary hygiene standards.

**Key responsibilities**:

- To perform a variety of cleaning and hygiene tasks as detailed within the cleaning instruction procedures.
- To ensure all activities are carried out and signed-off in accordance with hygiene, quality and safety standards.
- Responsible for ensuring that waste material is correctly disposed of in accordance with the client’s environmental systems.
- To participate in mandatory site training relating to health & safety, hygiene and environmental issues.
- Duties include: Cleaning of factory and yard areas plus some gardening tasks, baling, compacting, shredding, and granulating plastic cups.

Previous experience in cleaning and/or a food manufacturing environment is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
