Integra People are recruiting on behalf of a lovely nursery in the Banbury area for a Lead Early Years Educator (Third in Charge)

This setting is part of a thriving childcare group and this is a great opportunity to work within beautiful surroundings within a passionate and caring team. This setting blends individualised learning and purposeful play which is integral to providing highquality care and education from children aged 3 months to 5 years.

You should be a passionate and ambitious Lead Early Years Educator who will work in partnership with the Manager and Deputy to ensure all children are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.

You will also assist with the daily running of the nursery, adhering to the Policies & Procedures of the Setting and the company.

Main responsibilities
- Observes, supports and extends children’s learnings, utilising highly effective teaching strategies.
- Appropriately plans individual learning experiences for children under the EYFS curriculum.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date children’s records.
- Take on key person responsibilities for a group of children.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the needs of each child.
- Leads, motivates and inspires their room team, keeping the team engaged and performing to consistently high levels.
- Be the third in command in the nursery, after the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager. Managing/deputising in the absence of the Nursery Manager/Deputy Manager.
- On these occasions holding overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the nursery including safeguarding and child protection policies within the nursery.
- Assist the Manager in identifying areas of change and in implementing learning and teaching objectives.
- Promote the nursery to both current parents, and potential customers, to support retention and ongoing occupancy growth.
- Supervises staff and conduct supervisions and appraisals where appropriate under the guidance of the Manager/Deputy Manager.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Minimum Level 3 qualified
- First Aid Certification required
- Excellent knowledge of EYFS and experience of working with children and families
- Extensive knowledge of safeguarding
- Managing and maintaining administration requirements
