Our client, a Market leading manufacturing company has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Tool builder with an Injection moulding plastics background to join their well-established team. With a strong presence across the midlands, this role offers the opportunityto work for a secure manufacturing business which is experiencing a good level of investment. With progressive training and development my client is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcomingteam of engineers. This position will appeal to a strong Toolmaker looking for their next challenging role within a secure and stable company.
Role Description
- Ensure moulds tools are built in time to achieve scheduled requirements.
- Work with and understand tool build specification sheets, report inaccuracies, and help
develop new ones.
- Build mould tools to suit the components required.
- Clean and maintain mould tools and tooling inserts.
- Be familiar with the most common types of Injection Mould tools.
- Experience with Hot Runner Tools, Hot Tips and Unscrewing Tools would be beneficial.
- Fault find and report any tooling faults/potential repairs/breakages.
- Ensure that all tools are stored in their correct place when not in use.
- Work with/liaise with in house tool room to help maintain existing tooling.
Specific Experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience
- Previous experience ideally within Plastic Injection Moulding
- Methodical organized approach to managing tooling.
- Awareness of health and safety
- Working to schedules
Abilities / Skills & Knowledge
Effective communication skills both written & oral
Ability to read engineering drawings
