Working alongside the psychology and therapy department, you will provide specialist behavioural support to people with a learning disability, mental health issue or personality disorder. As a PBS Therapist, you will develop and implement individualised behavioural support plans based on service users needs and goals, including empowering recovery and encouraging independence and life skills. You will be responsible for functional behaviour assessments, positive behavioural support planning and implementations, incident analysis and will be requested to design and deliver training. A range of training opportunities are available that can see your career grow and you achieve your career aspirations. **Your responsibilities will include**: - Work closely with the people we support to develop and implement individualised behavioural support plans that both meet their needs and help to grow their independence and life skills - Assist in undertaking behavioural assessments, interviews, functional behaviour analyses and formulations of patients/residents in line with departmental, organisational and professional guidelines. - Support therapeutic work with patients by co-facilitating groups, under supervision, and alongside members of the therapy team. - contribute to the CPD of the department and service, through the dissemination of knowledge and skills. - Support with staff training & development - Complete behavioural assessment tools, analyse complex data and provide high quality written reports to guide care and treatment - provide high quality written reports to guide care and treatment. - Support with Functional Behaviour Analysis and Clinical Formulation - Be involved with Incident analysis & debriefing **To be successful in this role, you'll need**: - Have at least an undergraduate degree in Psychology that confers graduate basis for registration (GBR) by the British Psychological Society (BPS)Demonstrate behavioural assessment tools. - Have, or be willing to work towards, a formal qualification in Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) - Have a good understanding of the legal frameworks that are relevant to the role (eg, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act) - provide high quality written reports to guide care and treatment. - Experience within a similar setting. - A good understanding of the concept of PBS. **What you will get**: - Annual salary between £24,000 - £26,000 + £1,200 LD Allowance - The equivalent of 33 days annual leave - plus your birthday off - Free meals and parking - Wellbeing support and activities - Career development and training - Pension contribution - Life Assurance - Enhanced Maternity Package There is also a range of other benefits including retail discounts and special offers, car leasing without a credit check, holiday financing and much more.
