Teaching Assistants are wonderful additions to the education sector. The role entails supporting students throughout their time at school to achieve their full potential. This can be within a class room setting or with hands on life skills in alternativeprovisions.

Day to day you would attend any lessons or skill development with specific students providing effective support ensuring all students can access the curriculum.

Students who require support have special educational needs. These needs can include Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Downs Syndrome, Specific Learning Difficulties and Speech, Language and Communicationneeds. This is not an exhaustive list, but identifies some of the needs students may have that require support. Students have a variety of needs and as you develop a working relationship with the children, you will be able to actively identify and implementeffective support for students based on their individual needs.
- An empathetic and calm nature
- Effective communication skills
- The ability to identify effective support mechanisms for students
- GCSE Maths and English minimum of A-C grade
- Experience with children
- A Passionate personality
- The ability to inspire others
- Resilience
- Local to Wimbledon

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
