Our highly regarded Debt Recovery team is based only in our Taunton office, but it provides a national service for Government Departments, Local Authorities, insurance companies, managing agents, businesses and individuals. With a team of nearly 30 people, the team specialises in all aspects of debt recovery from debts paid before court proceedings are begun through to court judgments, insolvency and enforcement proceedings. We have several high volume contracts that need specific administration assistance.
We are looking to appoint someone to assist and provide support to our whole department.
**Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by**:
You will be IT literate and must be able to demonstrate intermediate Excel and Word knowledge. You need to be able to work alone, with others in the team and be able to manage your time effectively and be able to prioritise tasks. You will have strong social skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people.
You will be eager to learn, flexible, organised and enthusiastic, enjoying the buzz of working in a high-performing team and producing great results for your clients. You will certainly be extremely organised, with excellent time management skills, a keen eye for detail and able to work under pressure.
You may have pursued some further education studies (A levels, BTEC, NVQs etc) having achieved at least 6 or more GCSE passes at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English and Maths. Preferably you will have some experience in an office environment or a role involving the use basic IT skills.
Whatever your background, you will have strong written and verbal communication skills, a good level of basic numeracy and plenty of common sense.

The role will be varied as you will be tasked with covering different elements of administration and support within our department including;
- **General Team administration - in office**
- Daily scanning of incoming post and attaching to our Case Management System (CMS)
- Printing the teams correspondence
- Outbound post folding
- Carrying out ad hoc administration tasks
- Basic case progression work
***Volume processing & basic system assistance**
- Day to day running of volume processes including loading new cases & transaction reports, uploading case updates
- Tidying information provided by clients in excel spreadsheets so it can be loaded onto our CMS
- Assisting clients and third parties on our extranet including resetting accounts, creating new accounts and helping users who are having difficulties
- Assisting the departmental IT team with production of client statistics & reports
**Volume processing of cashiering tasks**
- Processing payments received in on Clarke Willmott systems
- Issuing cheques
- Assisting with general basic cashiering tasks for the team
It is a fast-paced role and you will need to juggle many priorities. You will need to be flexible to be an effective team player but you will also get support and training from your colleagues and manager in a relaxed but professional and hard-working team.
