- Development, administration and maintenance of key business systems, including but not limited to MS SQL, MS NAV (2009)
- Programming experience in required languages, likely to include T-SQL, C#.NET, HTML5/CSS3. Experience in C/AL, AL, Java (Spring) will be an advantage.
- Implementation, testing and enhancement of solutions based on MS NAV, SharePoint, PowerApps, ASP.NET MVC, Blazor
- Creation of management, technical, design and end-user support documentation
- 2nd and 3rd line support for existing systems, when required
- Good technical awareness of MS SQL administration.
- Assistance to the Project Managers / Business Analysts to plan and track all technical activities on relevant projects
- Support for users, answering queries and completing requests as appropriate
- Transition development releases to Live environment
- Advise Designers, users or BA's as appropriate, of options / alternatives when developing resolutions to business issues
- All development deliverables are quality assured
- Formal status reports on a regular basis are provided
- Comply with all other reasonable requests made by Directors, Head of Department and Senior management
- Follow the change control processPrincipal Skills & Attributes Required:
- Good working knowledge of MS SQL,.NET, HTML5/CSS3
- Experience in development and implementation of custom solutions based on Microsoft stack
- Good awareness of concurrency issues in distributed systems
- Familiarity with MS NAV will be an advantage
- Understanding of software development and architecture patterns (i.e. N-tier, OOP, SOA, TDD)
- Understanding of the Software Development life cycle
- Understanding of enterprise networks (filtering, firewalling, traffic shaping and inspection)
- Understanding of SOAP and REST Web Services
- Experience with MS NAV, LS Retail and SAP CX will be an advantage
- Experience in.NET programming (Desktop, Server, Web)
- Experience with test automation and web scraping will be an advantage
- Strong verbal and written communications
- Good time management - both of self and 3rd parties
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic changing environment
- Ability to assimilate complex material and to communicate effectively regardless of others' technical knowledge
- Ability to challenge assumptions and learn new technical skills quickly
- Ability to meet complex challenges under time constraints and when working under pressure
- Ability to work weekly shifts and provide weekend support as required
