MFC Ltd is an established Family Run firm with many years of experience in catching, processing and marketing of fresh fish and seafood throughout the UK and Europe with Mayer's Fishmongers being a branch of the Company providing the finest Scottish Salmon, Isle of Man Kippers and Sashimi Tuna along with Pheasant and Duck Breast and being one the longest serving standing stalls at Blackburn Market.

**Job Purpose**:
Working as part of the Mayer's team you will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to pre-determined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading of the van and providing exceptional customer service to our customer base, undertaking vehicle checks prior to delivery and keeping a vehicle log. You will also assist on the stall, serving customers, preparing orders, taking payments and assisting with clean down at the end of the day.

**Main Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Good customer service along with being well presented on behalf of Mayer's stall.
- Receive deliveries from Suppliers
- Moving of stock from cold storage areas, fridges and freezers
- Set out the produce in the display cabinets
- Prepare orders for Customers and Restaurants
- Taking payments both cash handling and using electronic till system as well as card
payments
- Record keeping of accurate records of Fish & Seafood products both fresh and frozen for
traceability, inventory and stock rotation
- Drive safely and follow all Laws and Rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work
environment
- Keep the Company Vehicle clean and clean the van interior after each shift and ensure it is
well-maintained, has fuel, oil and is ready to drive and recording of mileage, repairs
required etc., on vehicle record form
- Undertake other duties as required consistent with the duties of the post and the needs of
the Business as instructed from Supervisors and/or Management

**Skills and Specifications**:

- Full, Clean Driving Licence; Under Business Insurance Requirements Applicant **MUST** be
Aged 25+;
- _**No driving disqualifications within the last three years**_
- Basic maths
- Previous delivery driving ability
- Good customer service; friendly, caring, relatable with a good sense of humour and
common sense
- Good command of the English Language both written and oral
- Being Self Motivated, able to listen to feedback and work collaboratively
- Attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure, on one's own initiative and as
part of a team
- Be physically able for loading and unloading of boxes
- Full Time opportunity will be considered
