**Job Summary**:
As a Picker/Packer at Simon Charles Auctioneers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of items after the auctions conclude. You will be responsible for selecting and preparing items for shipment, ensuring they are packaged securely and delivered to our valued clients in pristine condition. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards will contribute significantly to our overall success.

**Responsibilities**:

- Order Picking: Carefully and accurately pick items from inventory based on order requirements, utilising handheld scanners to track and confirm item locations and quantities.
- Packaging: Properly and securely package items for shipment, utilising appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse tidy and organised, facilitating smooth and efficient operations, with the handheld scanners aiding in locating and managing item storage.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to meet daily picking and packing targets while promoting a positive and supportive work culture.
- Time Management: Complete tasks within designated timeframes and meet deadlines to achieve operational efficiency, supported by handheld scanners to streamline processes.

**Requirements**:

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse, fulfilment centre, or a similar role is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Handheld Scanner Experience: Familiarity with handheld scanners and basic computer operations is a plus.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 23 kilograms, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in picking and packing orders, with handheld scanners aiding in precise tracking.
- Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude toward working in a team-oriented environment.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced auction environment.
- Integrity: Trustworthiness and reliability in handling valuable items and sensitive information.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
