Internal Communications Specialist

It’s an exciting time to join AXA UK, we're looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to support AXA UK & Ireland’s Chief Operating Office (COO) through their transformation in becoming more digitally enabled. Working closely with the Senior Internal Communications Business Partner, you'll assist in the delivery of our internal communications strategy and developing content for the team’s editorial plan.
You'll work alongside the Senior Internal Communications Business Partner to execute best-in-class internal communications tactics, campaigns and events that will drive employee engagement. Connecting the people within the COO function with its purpose, strategic drivers and behaviours required to drive the business forward.

For this role, you'll balance time between home and your local office, with 1 day collaborative working in our London office.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Work closely with the Senior Internal Comms Business Partner for COO to deliver internal communication plans that fully align with AXA UK&I’s internal communication strategy.
- Establishing credible relationships with key stakeholders, leadership teams and internal communications teams within AXA UK&I. Developing opportunities for conversations that proactively generates content, delivering impeccable communications on time, every time.
- Provide support on specific projects and campaigns, liaising with stakeholders in the local COO functions to take the brief, work up the plan, liaise with colleagues and plan delivery.
- Develop messages, channels, and deliver accurate and timely communications that engage with our people. Manage, develop and curate content for the COO newsletter and ONE (our intranet) / SharePoint sites. Practical hands-on delivery skills, including event management, writing, proof-reading, film editing, publishing tools and producing slide decks.
- Understand the challenges and perspectives of our different audiences. Measure success of campaigns through key performance indicators and regularly report on the effectiveness of internal communications messages and channels.
- Work flexibly as part of the wider AXA Internal Communications teams to ensure messaging and activity aligns to wider internal communication strategy across AXA UK and Ireland. Also working with other parts of the business, including external communications, to ensure internal, external and engagement activity is aligned.
**Qualifications**:
- A passion for internal communications, employee engagement and storytelling.
- In-house internal communications experience, preferably in a complex organisation with geographically dispersed staff.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, eagle-eyed editing and proofreading skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Some experience managing, delivering and measuring internal communication. Change communication experience advantageous.
- Some experience of successfully managing projects, campaigns and events, involving multiple stakeholders.
- Good people skills. Able to build rapport with a range of colleagues and stakeholders to collaborate to achieve results. Must be persuasive but also willing to listen and flex as appropriate.
- Super organised, strong planning skills with a focus on the detail and quality of output.
- Able to prioritise, coordinate, take the initiative and stay focused on the outcome.
- Able to work collaboratively with the wider communication team.
- Drive, energy and enthusiasm.
