The concierge will work alongside the Reception Manager and deliver an exceptional high level of service which exceeds all guests’ expectations, by greeting all our guests in a warm and welcoming manner to create exceptional first impressions. **Overview of the role** - To be able to valet park guest cars and hold a current clean driving license - All guest and clients must receive a warm and friendly greeting on entry to the Hotel - To acknowledge all guests within 5 seconds, either through speech or with positive facial expressions such as a smile - Be fully conversant with the facilities, services and special promotions offered by the hotel and to pass this information on to the guest whenever the possibility arises in order to maximise hotel sales - To answer all queries from guests or where applicable, direct them to the appropriate member of staff or department - To be knowledgeable about the local area, tourist attractions, directions and facilities and to supply this information to guests on request - To book taxis, car hire as requested and to assist guests in reserving tables at restaurants, book Cinema and Theatre Tickets etc. - To offer advice on timetables for British Rail and Transportation, routes and Airport Information. - Making travel and restaurant reservations for guests as requested - To take messages/parcels to guests or a storage area. - To keep the forecourt clean and free of leaves and debris. - To be responsible for the cleanliness of foyer area. **ESSENTIAL** - Extensive knowledge of Buxton Town and surrounding areas and local attractions - Ability to work as part of a team - Reliable, Efficient and pro-active - Previous experience in a service role in delivering 5-star guest service - Confident and effective communicator who can converse at all levels - High levels of personal presentation and grooming **About us.** Under the Ensana brand, we manage two hotels in Buxton, situated adjacent to each other, they are the Buxton Crescent Hotel & Old Hall hotel. Buxton is a lovely historic spa town which is nestled in beautiful surrounding countryside within Derbyshire.
