We are working with a Secondary SEN School based in Spennymoor (DL16), that is seeking a SEND Support worker to take on a full-time position. This School ensures that every child and member of staff is respected and valued throughout the duration of theirtime there and prides itself on being safe, caring and family orientated.

You will be working alongside children with a multitude of special needs; therefore, the school are happy to consider staff from a range of professional backgrounds including those with experience in school settings and alternative provisions, Care backgroundsand those with experience of Health and Social Care qualifications.

**Experience**
- Knowledge of multi-sensory impairments / learning difficulties
- Previous experience in working with SEN children required
- Peg Feeding
- Moving and Manual handling

**Responsibilities**
- Supporting students to engage in lessons
- Managing challenging behaviours
- Providing support with personal and intimate care
- Supporting with mealtimes and feeding

This role is due to start ASAP and will be required until the end of the year with the possibility of being extended. Due to the role being required on a long term basis, we are able to negotiate your daily rate on your behalf, starting from £10.77 per hour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
